Oh am I being pampered this week!! My BFF has outdone herself! On Monday, I received a full body massage from Gina!!! Oh My!! I died and went to heaven for sure. Oiled and rubbed and stretched and rubbed some more...it was bliss for sure. Soft music playing and heated sheets. Are you jealous?? Ha!!
Thank you Cheri and thanks to Gina for her very talented hands! I will be seeing her again!!
Then today, I am getting a facial and then she is taking me out to lunch!! Oh and she gave me my present early. A gorgeous dress in black and white from The Pyramid Collection! Oh my!! So fabulous! So we are dressing up for lunch and I am wearing the new dress of course! I will be styling for sure.
And the best part is, my birthday isn't until the 29th. Still many more days to party!! Woot!!
Over the weekend, Tim...our helper...got all the weeds pulled on the pathways and in the garden. Then he spread the mulch...red bark...on my rock garden! It looks so beautiful. The rock garden has really taken off...in fact...I am trimming back some of the plants. They are thriving. And so is Dr. John's tomatoes! We are having a great gardening year so far. I love it!!
Surgery on Wednesday!! Yikes! I am a bit nervous...but glad that it is finally here. Soon I will be in recovery mode. Sigh!!
Cheri is a hairdresser as well as a jeweler. Her hair salon is adjacent to her home. Nice and convenient for me, that is for sure! Anyway, she had a really cool sign on her fence that had her business name on it. Due to the extreme weather up here...it was faded and peeling and pretty much falling apart. So we bartered!! I would fix her sign and she would do my hair. Nice deal!!! Here is the sign that I repaired...
I still have to fix the lady with the horse. It is peeling as well!! The sun and wind up here is ferocious!!
Went to the Botanical Gardens and boy were the flowers and shrubs showing their stuff. There is a radio program I listen to every morning with Jackie, Tony and Donny...the hosts. They ran a special! If you arrived at the Botanical Gardens last Friday, it was free of charge between the hours of 6AM to 10AM. Also, the Aquarium is part of this complex so that was a super great deal. So we got there at 6AM and took one million pictures!!! Ha! Seemed like that!

Gorgeous, huh? And this is just a very small sampling!! I love this park!!
Last Wednesday, I went to the Campus area and my granddaughter joined me, She is looking for a job and I am looking for an art gallery to show my work.. So we were off on an adventure! Ha!! We basically went door to door. And I found only one gallery!! Sheesh! And they wanted me to apply online only. So I did that on Thursday! Cassie found three places taking applications and one place took her resume'. She has been looking for several weeks to no avail!! Discouragement sits on her young shoulders.
We had a nice lunch at Il Viciano Wood Oven Pizza and Italian Restaurant!! Yummy pizza! Then I took her back to her apartment and I went home. When I got home, I noticed my cell phone was missing. Oh dear! So I called the restaurant to see if they spotted my phone. They said no!! So I had to call Verizon and say it was stolen/lost and ordered a new phone. Gotta have me my phone! I know...sad! But that is how I keep in touch with my grands! Sigh!! I chose a Droid 4!! So cool!
The next day, Dr. John took my car to work and while he was getting his briefcase out he heard my old phone speak!! Ha!! It wasn't stolen or lost! It was under the drivers' seat all along. How it landed there, I have no idea! Oh well! It was time for an upgrade anyway!
Oh I forgot to say that I customized my resume'. One is lo-tech, which means 8 x 10 pictures and my biography. Then I have a hi-tech, and that one is a thumb drive with pics of my works and also the biography.
Next month, Cheri and I are going to spend a day in Sante Fe and shop more galleries and see what I can find. I have already started my internet search. Found one that I like so much...Martha Keats Gallery on Canyon Rd. in Sante Fe! Beautiful gallery! And they have an established clientele!!
Been working out on the treadmill every day...30 to 40 minutes. Working up to 60 to 90 minutes. It has just been too windy and smokey for me to venture out of the house much. It took me a few days to recover from my trek in with Cassie!! What I also need to do is get back to the gym and hit the recumbent bike!!
You all have a wonderful day and make sure and stop by Stacy's at Stacy Uncorked and check out the other Randomizers!! Always fun! And join in...time to get your Random on!!
Have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you
